Health Expo 2017 Great success!

This was our first time exhibiting at the Health Expo 2017. This was the 5th year of this event and it was free to the public!  GM Calvin Chin presented the Tai Chi Paradigm and age related degeneration! Calvin Chin's Martial Arts Academy came prepared, as thirteen volunteers from the school all wearing Tai Chi Paradigm t-shirts assisted Sifu in manning our booth in the convention space. A flat screen tv played a continuous loop of excerpts from the Tai Chi Paradigm program online subscription service. Tall banner signs and brochures attracted attention and served as conversation starters. Even though the event got off to a slow start, by noon things were in full swing! Sifu had conversations with many people, educating them on the many health benefits of the Tai Chi Paradigm program and how it can help to combat age related degeneration. Those of us that were there as volunteers did our best to respond to peoples many questions. I think that we were all impressed yet again at Sifu's ability to connect with peoples personal experience in a real and knowledgeable way! One example of this occurred when Sifu was speaking with an elderly woman who had recently had a stroke. As she was explaining to Sifu some of the challenges she was facing, he remarked that she needed to push off when going up stairs and that she may lack both leg strength and confidence required to do so! She agreed wholeheartedly and seemed a little surprised that he knew this! Sifu explained that he had taught the Tai Chi Paradigm to victims of stroke with success and pointed out to her some of the ways it could benefit her!It was not a surprise when we saw her attend the seminar/workshop that Sifu presented later in the day at in Salon B. Before Sifu Chin presented his workshop, two groups of volunteers performed the TCP short form and the "Warm up" exercises in separate performances, even having a woman from the audience join in! Volunteers also networked through out the day with our fellow presenters at the Expo! Response was positive as we found that many of the other health groups there, had programs that could be complimented by the TCP. Some great conversations were had with many interesting presenters, who often shared our mission of improving peoples health in a holistic and preventative way!   Attendance at the beginning of Sifu Chin's Seminar/workshop seemed surprisingly small- At first- As it turned out the Keynote Speech for Health Expo 2017 was just finishing up as our seminar was starting! The large salon filled up so quickly and completely that we had to rotate the class 90 degrees so that people in the back rows could see! Attendees seemed to really enjoy the Sifu Chin's explanation of TCP and his hands on approach! Everyone in attendance got to try some movements from the Tai Chi Paradigm form and enjoyed that greatly! This was for some, their first experience with Tai Chi and we witnessed many people nodding their heads in agreement with Sifu as he explained that most people never really learn how to move in their daily lives! My impression was that people not only enjoyed themselves while connecting with Sifu Chin's message, but also felt good that this was something they could do!

This Event saw attendance from people from all over MA, and as far way as CT, and RI. even though some attendees lived a little to far to attend the school in Newton, MA many of them liked the idea that they could learn online with a subscription to the Tai Chi Paradigm online at www.calvinchin.com/Streaming Video. As Sifu Chin said,it is his mission to see Tai Chi as the exercise of choice!
